Allegations of Poisoning Surrounding Dr. John Kumah’s Death Prompt Autopsy Request.

The mother of the late Deputy Finance Minister and Ejisu MP, Dr. John Kumah, is demanding an autopsy to determine the cause of his death amidst widespread allegations of poisoning. Dr. Kumah fell ill and passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, sparking rumors of foul play.

Despite the rumors, no confirmation has been made by any expert, family member, or known associate of the late MP regarding the alleged poisoning. In an emotional interview with JoyNews on March 8, Dr. Kumah’s mother expressed deep sorrow over her son’s passing and insisted on an autopsy to verify the poisoning claims.

She questioned why anyone would wish such a fate upon her son, emphasizing the devastation the family feels. She lamented the loss of a determined young man with a bright future, whose life was cut short prematurely.

Residents of Ejisu also praised the late MP, noting his impactful work in the constituency despite serving for less than four years. They described him as kind, respectful, and attentive to the needs of individuals, treating everyone with care and compassion.

The call for an autopsy comes as the family and community seek closure and clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding Dr. Kumah’s untimely death.
