The rivalry between dancehall stars Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has flared up once again due to a disagreement over the booking of the Accra Sports Stadium for their upcoming December concerts.

In early September, Shatta Wale announced his Freedom Wave Concert for December 25. However, Stonebwoy recently revealed that his annual Bhim concert would also take place at the same venue in December.

Shatta Wale expressed his frustration on social media, suggesting that the stadium authorities allowed Stonebwoy’s concert to be scheduled just three days before his own, making it challenging for his team to set up. He questioned why Stonebwoy didn’t choose a different date in December.

However, the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi, clarified that both parties had met and agreed on the dates, with Shatta Wale on December 25 and Stonebwoy on December 22. The authority had not prevented either artist from holding their concerts.

Stonebwoy’s road manager, Chief Abiola, even offered to collaborate with Shatta Wale’s team to ease the setup process, but Shatta Wale declined the offer.

It’s worth noting that as of now, no formal contracts have been signed with either Shatta Wale or Stonebwoy, according to Professor Twumasi. The clash over concert dates continues to generate buzz in the music industry.
