Community Mourns as Tragedy Strikes.

According to the Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Adam Asaana, a tragic incident occurred in Tuboung, leading to the drowning of an 11-year-old boy and the subsequent loss of a 30-year-old man during a rescue mission. The incident prompted a joint effort by community youth and NADMO officials to recover the bodies from one of the dams in the area.

The assembly member of Tuboung, Simon Moyom Laar, expressed his frustration and described the situation as unfortunate. The bodies of the deceased were later retrieved from the water and handed over to the Police for further action.

The incident drew hundreds of mourners, including opinion leaders and chiefs, from Tuboung and neighboring communities like Kpikpira in the Tempane District, to pay their respects.

In a related story, a 25-year-old man was found dead by the roadside at Gagbiri in the Tempane District. The lifeless body bore multiple cuts and was covered in blood. The Police have transported the body to the Garu Presbyterian Hospital for further investigation.

Reports indicate that one person has been apprehended by the Police in connection with the incident.
