Suspect Allegedly Claims God-Directed Shooting Spree Due to Solar Eclipse.

Taylon Nichelle Celestine, a 22-year-old woman from Georgia, was arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly going on a shooting spree on Interstate 10 in Florida. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Celestine checked out of a Florida hotel and informed staff that she was going on a shooting spree directed by God because of the solar eclipse.

The incident occurred 115 miles from the Alabama border in the Florida Panhandle. Celestine reportedly fired into passing vehicles, hitting two drivers. The first driver was grazed in the arm by auto glass, while the second driver was hit in the neck and required treatment at a hospital.

Celestine was apprehended by troopers after driving approximately 16 miles. Authorities found her in possession of an AR-15 rifle and a 9mm handgun. She was arrested and booked into the Holmes County jail, facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and improper discharge of a firearm.
