Singer and Mother Face Legal Troubles Following Police Raids

Singer Sean Kingston, legally known as Kisean Anderson, has been arrested in Fort Irwin, California, hours after a police raid on his Florida mansion, which also led to the arrest of his mother, Janice Turner. The arrests stem from allegations that Kingston failed to pay for a large TV and sound system he ordered in September 2023.

Kingston’s arrest followed an investigation by Florida police, who executed search and arrest warrants at a residence near Fort Lauderdale listed as Kingston’s home in court documents. The Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the raid and the arrest of Turner on multiple fraud and theft charges. The investigation is ongoing, with officers seen removing goods from the property.

The charges against Kingston and his mother relate to claims made by Ver Ver Entertainment. The company alleges that Kingston contacted them over social media to purchase a “232-inch Colossal TV, coupled with a robust sound system,” promising promotional videos with Justin Bieber in exchange for a minimal down payment. After the installation, Kingston reportedly failed to pay the remaining amount, leading to a lawsuit for breach of contract and fraud.

Kingston addressed the situation on Instagram, assuring followers that he and his mother are “good” and that his lawyers are handling the matter. His legal team has expressed confidence in a favorable resolution, stating they look forward to addressing the allegations in court.

Kingston, 34, is known for hits such as “Beautiful Girls,” “Fire Burning,” and “Eenie Meenie” featuring Justin Bieber. The BBC and other media outlets have reached out to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and Kingston’s representatives for further comments.
